Boston Globe: Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau - EASY POST & PROWL

[Speeches Favreau helped write] included Obama's pivotal address to the Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner in Iowa.... : This party, the party of Jefferson and Jackson, of Roosevelt and Kennedy, has always made the biggest difference in the lives of American people, when we led, not by polls, but by principle; not by calculation, but by conviction. Also, his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in Denver, and his election-night victory address in Chicago: If there is anyone out there. .
[ Some good info here as well as puff. - tdo ]

Comment box at the bottom. My name was already on it, post went right up. Less than 10 comments so far.

WP: [Favreau] Helping to write history

a minor celebrity [...] whose silly Facebook photos with a Hillary Rodham Clinton cutout created what passes for controversy in Obama's so far drama-free transition. [....] At a party at his parents' house over Thanksgiving vacation, [Favreau] danced and posed awkwardly next to a cardboard cutout of Clinton. A buddy uploaded photos onto Facebook, reporters discovered them, and suddenly experts were debating Favreau's maturity on television. Favreau called Clinton and Obama to apologize. They told him not to worry, but he still does.

http://www.usnews.com/blogs/erbe/2008/12/11/is-jon-favreau-for-real/comments/

Bonnie Erbe:
If this is what the website claims it is, a picture of incoming
White House speechwriter in chief Jon Favreau, I agree with writer Amy
Siskind that the guy ought to be fired.

[ Apparently it IS real, because the Obama camp says Favreau has
apologized. ]

[ Here's the writer, Kathleen Parker, kparker@kparker.com, bashing feminists
for daring to critizice Favreau and for lacking humor.

Here is Pumapac's reply, a nice funny image:

NYT: [ re speechwriter ]Question no 63?

The NY Times has finally seen fit to mention the Favreau story in its
Opinionator blog. Not surprisingly, nearly all the comments are of the
"boys will be boys" variety. If you'd like to add a comment, here's
the link:

"Somebody please tell Barack Obama and crew he won"

But Obama's newly named and possibly endangered, misbehaving chief
White House speechwriter, Jon Favreau, is turning out words for him
that still sound like campaign stuff.

Campbell Brown being ridiculous but EASY post

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/05/campbell.brown.clinton/index.html#cnnSTCText

This is too ridiculous to quote, but posting is easy: at "Sound off"
under the article, click on it, and a comment box appears. It only
asks for a name and location, not a login.
